Artist's Comments

I got 90% done with this and ran out of lead for the mechanical pencil. I ended up having to use a different pencil to finish it because I couldn't find 0.3mm lead anywhere on planet earth, and sure enough, the new lead was much darker. I ended up having to go over pretty much the entire thing which was frustrating as hell.

Anyhow, this is the vampire Lestat from Anne Rice's books. I used actor Charlie Hunnam as my main reference.

Dude, the hair is awesome! He's a perfect Lestat, too. He's pretty, but there's something cold about him. :petting: Yeah, you had to go over it, but at least it's done!

Brilliant work! His hair is absolutely perfect! I love his eyes. There's something almost innocent about them. This reminds me of Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison.
