So, my brother asked me earlier tonight if I was aware of The Mandela Effect. I had no idea what he was going on about. He throws a few details out there, we chat for a bit, then I go home and look this shit up on the net. MIND=BLOWN.
This is Wikipedia's definition of The Mandela Effect:
"The Mandela Effect is a colloquial name for an instance wherein a group of individuals all mis-remember the same detail or event. The effect derives its name from the fact that many people seem to have a memory of Nelson Mandela dying prior to his actual 2013 demise."
Another quote: "Some individuals have even taken this discrepancy as proof of parallel universes and as a vindication of certain quantum physics-related theories."
Don't run away yet! ...Just stick with me here, people.
I can't speak to Mandela's death, because people are remembering him dying in the eighties, and I was a child who had no idea who he was at the time. However, a long while back I was looking up details from a very famous Anne Rice book for some artwork purposes. You know, the one that starts with 'Interview' and ends in 'Vampire.' Suddenly, all evidence was pointing towards the fact that I have apparently been filling in this blank wrong for 20 years or so. Nevermind that this was one of my favorite books as a teen, and I've reread it so many times the cover is falling off. I've seen the film countless times as well. How in the hell could I be getting the title wrong all these years?! I felt like a complete fool. After looking into The Mandela Effect, either I'm one of many fools, or there is something much bigger going on here... Maybe I'm a fool either way.
That said, the following examples are tripping me out, and I need to know what you guys remember. I'm gonna list some things, leaving one detail blank for you to fill in. Don't Google the answer first. Just go with your gut, and if you genuinely have no clue what the answer is, ignore it. K. Let's do this!
1.) Interview with __ Vampire
2.) Berenst__n Bears (children's book/cartoon)
3.) Field of Dreams quote: If you build it, __ will come.
4.) TV show: Sex __ the City.
5.) Looney T___s (Bugs Bunny and the like)
6.) Famous Darth Vader Quote: ___, I am your father!
7.) Mr Roger's quote: It's a beautiful day in __ neighborhood.
8.) Disney's Snow White quote: ___ mirror on the wall.

There are plenty more, but these are the ones that resonate with me. I'm very interested in what you remember. Holla!
